Extreme Weather Emergency Shelter
Conditions in which the shelter will open effective until March 30th 2012: When the local temperature reaches 0 or colder.
When an extreme weather alert has been issued and it is raining for long periods of time.
When it is snowing or there is snow on the ground at the shelter in Sechelt.
Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm The Salvation Army office 604 886-3665.
During nights the shelter is open, the shelter phone will be answered by the two shelter staff on duty at St. Hildas 604 885-5019.
Shelter address: 5838 Barnacle St. Sechelt (across the street from the police station - beside Rockwood Center) 885-5019.
Doors will open at 9:00 and close at 8:00.
Clients must be 19 or older, male or female.
Pets are welcome, kennels are available.
